Nendoroid Stark Review

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End undoubtably has some of the most well-written characters, and Stark may be one of the best. Stark was once the great warrior, Eizen’s apprentice, but now he travels with Frieren and Fern on their quest. And luckily, we will soon be able to take a tiny version of Stark on our own quests, because he’s getting a nendoroid figure!
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a manga series written by Kanehito Yamada and drawn by Tsukasa Abe, which received its own anime adaptation in the autumn of 2023. The manga is published weekly in Shonen Sunday magazine. Despite being a fairly new story, Frieren is immensely popular both for its bright characters and dramatic plot line. The story follows Frieren, who comes back from a 10 year long adventure with Himmel the hero, Heiter the priest, and Eizen the warrior. Himmel’s party is celebrated for their triumph against the demon king. Although Himmel, Heiter, and Eizen speak of the adventure as though it was their last, Frieren can’t seem to understand them. After all, elves’ lifespans are much longer than most. And so, time goes by. Frieren eventually hears of Himmel’s passing, and decides that from here on out, she’ll strive to understand humans and appreciate her time with them. After she meets an orphan Heiter took in named Fern, and Eizen’s apprentice Stark, Frieren reembarks on the adventure that once ended.

Stark looks just like he does in the anime! I think the Good Smile company did an excellent job with him. The first of his faceplates that we’ll take a look at is his normal, smiling expression. Stark is featured in his red warrior garb.
He includes a desert and a spoon as well. This desert is called the Jumbo Berry Special. Some of the most memorable moments in Frieren take place in restaurants, so I’d love to recreate those scenes.
Stark even comes with the mirrored lotus ring that he gave to Fern. Afterword, Frieren explained the true meaning of the ring to her, which Stark wasn’t even aware of. When Frieren mentioned that Himmel had also given her a similar ring in the past, it struck a chord with us while watching the anime, I believe.
Wow, he looks so cool while welding his axe! It’s going to be awesome to see all the combat poses you can make with him. This is his dead serious expression. Stark comes with an additional leg part that’s bent upward, so that you can create more mid-motion scenes. Remember when Stark fought the dragon in the episode where he was introduced?
Aw, this might be my favorite of his faceplates. This expression is so iconically Stark. I was hoping they’d give his nendoroid a face like this, and they did!
Imagine having these two together as nendoroids together? Think about how many times Stark would upset Fern, and he’d have to buy her something! These two are so realistic in a way, I feel that their interactions are amazingly genuine.

In conclusion to this review, I was really impressed with Stark’s new figure! I love his faceplates, and they gave lots of exciting accessories. Stark is one of those characters who just works perfectly as a nendoroid figure.
