Nendoroid Reno Ichikawa Review
Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so glad you found my blog! I love to talk about upcoming anime figures and merchandise and share photos of my own collection. Nendoroids are my favorite, but I cover a wide variety of anime related subjects. Plus, I have a YouTube channel too, so feel free to check it out sometime! And thank you so much for tuning in; have fun reading!
Kaiju No. 8’s anime release is just on the horizon, and it certainly has become one of the most anticipated anime series of spring 2024. The Good Smile company had previously announced the Kaiju No. 8 nendoroids, but now nendoroid figures for Kafka Hibino and Reno Ichikawa are going up for preorder! In this post, I will take a look at Reno Ichikawa’s new figure, and share my thoughts.
Kaiju No. 8 is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It is serialized in Shonen Jump+, and is available to read on the Shonen Jump app. Despite being a fairly new story, it has become immensely popular. Kaiju No. 8 is airing as an anime in spring 2024. The story follows a man named Kafka Hibino who works for the defense force, an organization that protects Japan from monstrous beings called Kaiju. However, instead of being on the front lines, Kafka works as part of the crew that deals with the aftermath of Kaiju attacks. One day, Kafka accidentally ate a strange parasite that transforms him into “Kaiju No. 8”. Will this give him the power to fulfill his promise to his childhood friend?
Reno Ichikawa works alongside Kafka as a member of the defense force. He is a good friend of Kafka’s and even helped him get into the Defense Force.
Reno Ichikawa’s new nendoroid figure looks cool and collected! He comes with his rifle, and arm parts for holding it. Reno’s first faceplate is his calm expression.
His shooting pose is awesome as well! He seems to be ready for action!
His next faceplate is his smiling one. Reno seems welcoming here. I like this pose too.
Reno Ichikawa also includes his energy drink from the first chapter! I’m so glad they gave him this.
His nendoroid figure features his shouting expression! This pose is from the scene where he dropkicks the main character, Kafka. You can use this faceplate to create all sorts of silly scenarios.
And, this pose is from when he shows off his unleashed combat power. His mask is also quite cool.
You can pair Nendoroid Reno Ichikawa with the other Kaiju No. 8 nendoroids, to recreate all sorts of exciting scenes! Reno Ichikawa is currently on preorder, and the others are coming soon. I love to see them displayed together!
The Defence Force gets ready for action in nendoroid form! It’s amazing to see these characters in chibi figure form.
I have a feeling these figures will be a lot of fun…
Nendoroid Reno Ichikawa will release in the first quarter of 2025. He is currently available for preorders. You can purchase him from the Good Smile Online shop, the Good Smile US store, the Crunchyroll store, and Amiami.
In conclusion to this review, I’m excited for Reno Ichikawa’s nendoroid! I liked his dropkicking pose the best. I can’t wait for him and Kafka to come out!
I’ll be covering more figures from Kaiju No.8 in the coming days, so stay tuned for more. I hope you will enjoy watching the anime this weekend! I think that it will be a worthwhile series, so please try it out. Thank you so much for reading! See you next post!
