Nendoroid Shoko Komi: Ponytail Ver. Review

Everyone’s favorite, Komi San already received a nendoroid figure, but the Good Smile company is releasing another! This time, Komi is featured with her hair up, and she comes with new pieces like food items! I’m excited to review her new nendorid figure, so let’s get started!
Komi Can’t Communicate is a manga series created by Tomohito Oda. It’s published in Weekly Shonen Sunday Magazine. It has been adapted into a anime series licensed by Netflix. The story follows Shoko Komi, a girl with social anxiety who desperately wants to make friends. After meeting a boy named Tadano Hitohito, he promises her he’ll help her make 100 friends! Will Komi San be able to overcome her shyness?
Shoko Komi is the female protagonist of Komi Can’t Communicate. Despite her shy personality, she actually wants to make friends. Komi is quite popular in school as well. She enjoys hanging out with her pals although it can be difficult for her sometimes.
Komi’s new nendoroid features her without her blue coat. Her first new faceplate is her nonchalant expression. I love how her hands are posed here. Since this is her ponytail version, it’s only natural that she’d have her hair up.
Next up is her blushing face! She looks cute here, doesn’t she? I love the scene in the manga where she visits the ramen shop, so I’m glad that she includes the ramen bowl!
She seems so sad with her crying faceplate… I love the variety of faces we get with her.
Komi also comes with a rice ball!
Her huffing and puffing pose is so cute! This might be my favorite one. Just like with the previous Komi nendoroid, she includes cat ears.

In conclusion to this review, I love Komi’s Ponytail Version, and I don’t think I would change anything about her. Although I don’t think that another Komi nendoroid was necessary yet. But, it is exciting to see her in different outfits, and with different expressions. I wish the Good Smile company would release the other characters from the story; it would be so much fun to have Komi hang out with her friends!
