We are getting Hell’s Paradise (Jigokuraku) Nendoroids!
Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so excited to talk about this! This morning I was looking online for more Jigokuraku figurines to talk about, and I found out about something amazing! Yes, we are getting Hell’s Paradise Nendoroids! The Good Smile company posted early versions of them on their Twitter. All the images used today belong to Good Smile. We get to take a look at the new nendoroid Gabimaru and Yamada Asaemon Sagiri! I’m so thrilled to be writing about these! With that, allow me to show you the models.
Here is our early access look at Nendoroid Gabimaru the Hollow. He looks great in my opinion. Right now, they don’t have paint jobs yet. But we can assume how they will look based on other similar figures.
The first face we get to see is his serious expression. He also looks a little gloomy. I’m sure this can be used for fighting as well. We only get to see one of his expressions but I’m guessing the other two will be; one for fighting and another with a smile or a comical face. It could also be his shocked face from the anime too. I can’t wait to see Gabimaru in action!
Here is our early access look at Nendoroid Yamada Asaemon Sagiri. She also stays very true to her character. I enjoy this sword-holding pose I think it will look really cool in nendoroid form. As you can tell, even though we can’t see them in color, they still have their faces. Sagiri’s first face seems to be her usual expression. This is for when she is trapped in thought; most likely used when she is about to slay someone. I love how you can tell that she’s feeling regret just by looking at her face. In my opinion, her emotions are captured a lot better in nendoroid form than the Figuarts Mini we looked at yesterday.
I’m assuming her other two faces will be; a fighting face for mid action, and her exhausted expression. That’s just my guess though.
By looking at the similar Figuarts Minis, we can picture how the new Nendos will look like in color.
Yuji Kaku Sensei’s “Hell’s Paradise” or “Jigokuraku” is a manga series and as of April 2023, an anime as well. It is known as one of the so called “Dark Trio” along with Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen. The story follows a ninja by the name of Gabimaru. Once known infamously as “Gabimaru the Hollow”. He is accused of committing crimes and sent to be executed. However, the desire to reunite with his wife again drives him to stay alive and fight through what would normally kill a person. Then he meets the executioner, Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, a woman who feels regret and his haunted by those she’s slain. In order for him to be pardoned, she allows Gabimaru to depart on a trip to a mysterious island. If he can find the elixir of life that is rumored to be there, he will be set free. But is this island actually paradise or hell?
These nendos are not up for preorder just yet. I will do another post about them when they are. So far, only these two characters have been announced. But I bet that we may get more characters introduced later on. If you love collecting Nendoroids, then check out the Good Smile company on Twitter.
