Reno Ichikawa Noodle Stopper Figure Review

With Kaiju No. 8’s anime being just around the corner, it’s only natural that we’d be getting more figures featuring characters from the series. And, FURYU and Good Smile company has decided transform a couple of Kaiju No. 8’s main characters into noodle stopper figures. The noodle stopper figures are a partner product between the two companies, and they feature popular anime characters sitting down. The figures are often designed being rather relaxed; and they go great on shelves! In this post, I’ll be reviewing Reno Ichikawa’s noodle stopper figure.

Kaiju No. 8 is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It is serialized in Shonen Jump+, and is available to read on the Shonen Jump app. Despite being a fairly new story, it has become immensely popular. Kaiju No. 8 is set to get an anime in spring 2024. The story follows a man named Kafka Hibino who works for the defense force, an organization that protects Japan from monstrous beings called Kaiju. However, instead of being on the front lines, Kafka works as part of the crew that deals with the aftermath of Kaiju attacks. One day, Kafka accidentally ate a strange parasite that transforms him into “Kaiju No. 8”. Will this give him the power to fulfill his promise to his childhood friend?

Reno Ichikawa works alongside Kafka as a member of the defense force. He is a good friend of Kafka’s and even helped him get into the Defense Force.

Reno Ichikawa looks amazing as a noodle stopper, doesn’t he? He seems to be on high alert.

FURYU did all the details on his Defense Force uniform quite well.

I love the pose they chose for him. I picture him carefully scouting the city.

What an awesome figure! I hope we get to see even more exciting Kaiju No. 8 figures after the anime’s release!
