Nendoroid Shota Aizawa Review

Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so glad you found my blog! I love to talk about upcoming anime figures and merchandise and share photos of my own collection. Nendoroids are my favorite, but I cover a wide variety of anime related subjects. Plus, I have a YouTube channel too, so feel free to check it out sometime! And thank you so much for tuning in; have fun reading!

The Good Smile company has been releasing many figures as of late; and fans of My Hero Academia will be exciting to hear that Shota Aizawa will finally be getting a nendoroid! Aizawa seems like one of those characters we’d definitely want as a nendoroid figure. Which is why in this post I’ll be reviewing him and sharing my thoughts. With that, let’s begin!

My Hero Academia or MHA, is a manga written and illustrated by Kouhei Horikoshi. Its anime adaption has aired for six seasons, and soon a seventh. MHA has become a worldwide phenomenon. The story follows a boy named Midoriya, whose dream is to become a legendary hero that saves people’s lives. However, Midoriya is left heartbroken after discovering that he doesn’t have a quirk. When Midoriya meets his hero, All Might, everything changes. All Might is impressed by Midoriya and shares his quirk with him; the superpower that saves others, One For All. Midoriya then joins an academy for aspiring superheroes, and together with his friends he must fight the league of villains.

Shota Aizawa (ErasureHead) is class 1A’s homeroom teacher. Despite his gloomy vibes, he works hard to teach his students and cares deeply about them. His quirk allows him to negate other’s quirks as long as he stares directly at them. in order to do this, he must not blink whatsoever.

Shota’s new nendoroid looks quite cool doesn’t he? The Good Smile company did a good job with his design. Aizawa comes with his typical, somewhat gloomy faceplate. He also includes his signature scarf, and hand parts for putting his hands in his pockets.

Shota’s pose for using his quirk is neat! He comes with a second hair piece for you to use. This faceplate is for when he’s stopping another person’s quirk.

I love it when they come with these sound effects! A lot of the MHA nendoroids have them. I also like the extra leg and scarf parts you get for his action pose.

Aizawa needs his eyedrops to refresh his eyes after using his quirk.

He has a really cool scarf, doesn’t he? I feel like you could recreate a wide variety of scenes with this nendoroid!

Nendoroid Shota Aizawa is expected to release in the first quarter of 2025. He is currently on preorder on the Good Smile Online shop, the Good Smile US store, Amiami, and the Crunchyroll store. You can also get him from any other anime store you trust.

I thought the Good Smile company did a great job with Shota Aizawa’s nendoroid. Most nendoroids come with about three faceplates, and although Aizawa only includes two, I don’t think he really needs another one. There is something that I feel Shota’s nendoroid should have, that being a nendoroid pouch fashioned after his sleeping bag. The Good Smile company makes lots of nendoroid pouches for different characters. And, it seems like they would work perfect for Aizawa. When I got my nendoroid pouches, they reminded me of how Shota uses a sleeping bag. Although I feel like it’s a missed opportunity that the Good Smile Company hasn’t given him one yet, that doesn’t mean that they won’t. After all, nendoroid pouches are usually sold separately from the figures.

Thank you so much for reading this post! Tune in tomorrow if you would like to check out my review for Lady Nagant’s new nendoroid. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments bellow!
