Nendoroid Yukio Okumura Review

Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so glad you found my blog! I love to talk about upcoming anime figures and merchandise and share photos of my own collection. Nendoroids are my favorite, but I cover a wide variety of anime related subjects. Plus, I have a YouTube channel too, so feel free to check it out sometime! And thank you so much for tuning in; have fun reading!

The Good Smile company has been releasing many exciting new nendoroids as of late, and I’m thrilled to be covering them here on my blog! You might be surprised to hear that the popular manga and anime, Blue Exorcist is finally receiving nendoroid figures! The new nendos are manufactured by ORANGE ROUGE, a department of the Good Smile company that specializes in boy characters. Blue Exorcist’s Rin Okumura and Yukio Okumura are now featured in nendoroid form! I can’t wait to review these two. In this post, I’ll be reviewing nendoroid Yukio Okumura, so let’s get started!

Blue Exorcist is a Shonen manga series written and illustrated by Kazue Kato. It received an anime series, and a movie; and it’s dark fantasy story is quite popular. The story follows Rin and his brother, Yukio, who find out that Satan is actually their father. Rin inherits his father’s powers. And after his guardian is killed by Satan, Rin strives to get revenge on his father. Together with his brother, Rin works to fight against the demons.

Okumura, the son of Satan and Rin’s brother. He works as an instructor to the exorcists.

Yukio looks just like in the anime doesn’t he? He even includes the gun he uses as a weapon. His glasses should be removable too. Yukio is featured in his exorcist coat. His first faceplate is his typical, smiling expression.

Yukio includes hand and arm parts for pointing his gun at someone! I think you’d be able to recreate lots of cool scenes with this pose. His second expression is another smiling one; this time with his mouth open.

I love Yukio’s teaching pose! He includes a textbook for him to read from as well. All of Yukio’s faces were smiling, which surprised me. I thought he should have come with at least one serious one.

But, if you thought one pistol wasn’t enough… Yukio’s new nendoroid comes with a gun for each of his hands. It’s been a long time since I read the Blue Exorcist manga, and reviewing these nendoroids makes me want to read it again.

Yukio sure seems like a cheerful guy in nendoroid form doesn’t he? Here they have him holding his glasses, which is a nice pose for him. Yukio seems like a very fun character to recreate seems with!

Of course, Yukio Okumura is compatible with his twin brother, Rin Okumura.

Nendoroid Yukio Okumura is currently on preorder, and he is expected to release sometime in the fourth quarter of 2024. I recommend getting him from the Good Smile Online shop, or the Good Smile US store. You can also order from any anime store you trust.

In conclusion, I think Yukio’s nendoroid would be great to make all sorts of cool scenes with. However, I felt like they could’ve done a little more with his nendoroid. To me, his three faceplates are not all that different from each other. And I think he should come with a frowning face or just a serious face to contrast the happy ones. But I do think Yukio is still a great nendoroid to have in your collection!

If you enjoy my nendoroid reviews, you can support my blog by sharing the link with your friends and family! It means a lot to me that you read my article, so thank you! I hope you will come back to this blog in the future for more exciting nendoroid news!
