Nendoroid Hitori Gotoh (Bocchi) Review

Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so glad you found my blog! I love to talk about upcoming anime figures and merchandise and share photos of my own collection. Nendoroids are my favorite, but I cover a wide variety of anime related subjects. Plus, I have a YouTube channel too, so feel free to check it out sometime! And thank you so much for tuning in; have fun reading!

I have good news for those who wanted Bocchi’s nendoroid but weren’t able to get her the first time around; she’s getting a rerelease! Her rerelease is set to come out around the fourth quarter of 2024. Bocchi’s first release is still availible now on the Crunchyroll store, so those who want her can also get her there. But anyway, in this post I’m going to be reviewing Hitori Gotoh’s nendoroid figure! Hitori is a really important character, and I think the Good Smile company really went all out with this nendoroid. Which is why I can’t wait to share my thoughts about her!

Aki Hamaji’s Bocchi the Rock! is a slice of life, comedy manga that began in 2017. It received an anime series in 2022, and the story has become immensely popular! Hitori Gotoh is a shy girl who struggles with social interactions, but that won’t stop her dream of becoming a rock star! One day, a girl named Nijika Ijichi invites Gotoh to join her new band. The story follows the Kessoku band, as Gotoh tries to make friends. The character’s last names share the last names of real musicians, with each fictional band sharing last names with members of a real one.

Hitori Gotoh is the lead guitarist of Kessoku band. Despite having serious social anxiety, she wants to make friends and become a famous rock star. Bocchi also works hard at her new part-time job at STARRY.

Hitori Gotoh looks amazing in nendoroid form! I think that her character design lends itself well to this kind of figure. Bocchi is featured in her iconic pink tracksuit; and she includes her guitar! Her first faceplate is her standard expression.

Hitori Gotoh is quite shy, which is why she often looks terrified like this. She’s trying her best to communicate though. I feel like you could use her in this pose with nendoroids from other series and create some silly scenes too.

When Bocchi can no longer handle social interactions, she gets like this. I know that her breaking down face is iconic, but it’s scaring me a little bit…

And now she’s completely broken down! I love how they lied her on the ground for this. Bocchi seems like such a silly character.

Bocchi comes with her sleeping bag as well.

The backdrop board shown here is not included with Hitori Gotoh’s nendoroid. It comes with Nijika Ichiji’s nendoroid instead.

I love Hitori Gotoh’s nendoroid. I thought the Good Smile company captured her personality well!

Nendoroid Hitori Gotoh (Rerelease) is currently up for preorder on the Good Smile Online shop, and the Good Smile US store. If you would like the original run, you can order her from the Crunchyroll store. In the meantime, I hope you can continue to check out the latest fifgure updates here on my blog! Thank you so much for reading my post. I hope to see you next time!
