Legendary Frieren and Fern 1/7th Scale Figure to Commemorate the Anime

Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so glad you found my blog! I love to talk about upcoming anime figures and merchandise and share photos of my own collection. Nendoroids are my favorite, but I cover a wide variety of anime related subjects. Plus, I have a YouTube channel too, so feel free to check it out sometime! And thank you so much for tuning in; have fun reading!

Recently, I’ve been watching Frieren’s anime. Although I’ve never read the manga myself, I’m sure all those who read the manga first were overjoyed when they found out about the anime. And we can all celebrate with an amazing set of figures, based on an illustration by Reiko Nagasawa! Design COCO created these figures with the approval Madhouse. The figure stands over 11 inches tall; and features Frieren and her apprentice, Fern.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a manga series written by Kanehito Yamada and drawn by Tsukasa Abe, which received its own anime adaptation in the autumn of 2023. The manga is published weekly in Shonen Sunday magazine. Despite being a fairly new story, Frieren is immensely popular both for its bright characters and dramatic plot line. The story follows Frieren, who comes back from a 10 year long adventure with Himmel the hero, Heiter the priest, and Eizen the warrior. Himmel’s party is celebrated for their triumph against the demon king. Although Himmel, Heiter, and Eizen speak of the adventure as though it was their last, Frieren can’t seem to understand them. After all, elves’ lifespans are much longer than most. And so, time goes by. Frieren eventually hears of Himmel’s passing, and decides that from here on out, she’ll strive to understand humans and appreciate her time with them. After she meets an orphan Heiter took in named Fern, and Eizen’s apprentice Stark, Frieren reembarks on the adventure that once ended.

Frieren, the great mage who traveled with Himmel the hero.

Fern, the orphan who was taken in by Heiter, and became Frieren’s apprentice.

Fern and Frieren’s 1/7th scale figures come in a set, but you can also purchases them separately. Those who purchase the set will receive an additional acrylic stand featuring the design for the figure. This special set and Frieren and Fern’s 1/7th scale figures are all available for preorder and won’t be releasing until October 2024. They will commemorate the 1 year anniversary of the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime series!

I’m amazed by this figure, they’re so detailed! The way their hair is sculpted it looks so realistic! And I really love the base. The crystal is pretty, and Frieren and Fern look impressive flying above it.

I didn’t notice how different Frieren staff was from Fern’s until now. This figure showcases the two of them getting ready to fight together.

Fern seems confident in her abilities, and it looks like she’s ready for what’s to come!

I’m a huge fan of the fading effect they used in Fern’s hair! The color job is brilliant!

The golden rings around the base are also very cool.

You can tell that Frieren’s hair is blowing in the wind.

I love the water pool at the bottom of the base. It’s an amazing diorama all around!

You can enhance the diorama by adding LED lights to it. They are not included in the set, but the crystals should glow brighter when LED are used with them.

If you purchase Fern and Frieren as a set, you will receive this acrylic stand as a bonus! I would personally recommend getting these two together instead of separately. But, you can purchase Frieren and Fern by themselves too.

I love the way they did Frieren’s eyes! The stand alone figure comes with half the base, and only one golden ring effect.

I’m amazed by all the details on her. COCO Design really does a great job on these figures.

To me, this figure looks a little incomplete without Fern’s half.

Wow! She looks even better closer up! I just noticed the shiny, slick color on her jewelry. The way they did her accessories was quite nice.

You can even see the details in her fingernails.

I think this is one of the best Frieren figures I’ve seen yet!

The metallic parts on her staff are shiny aren’t they?

1/7th scale figures are designed to be 1/7th the size of the actual anime characters. And this Frieren figure stands little over 11 inches tall!

She looks cool from behind as well!

I always like it when they use Frieren’s flying pose for figures.

Now we will take a look at Fern’s 1/7th scale figure!

The contrast between the wood, cloth, and metal on her staff is fantastic…

Even her black shoes look cool.

Fern looks so realistic!

I love the way they did her complexion here.

Her hair is almost see through, that’s so cool!

Fern’s black and purple color scheme is cool isn’t it?

There are photos of these figures from all angles, which really gives us a good idea of what they look like.

I love her hairpin! It reminds me of the anime when Frieren gave it to her for her birthday.

In conclusion, I think both of these figures are awesome, but the two of them together are even more awesome! Keep in mind that these are some of the best dioramas on the market. And thus, they’ll be expensive. But it’s definitely worth the price if you are an anime figure hobbyist who loves Frieren. If you are interested in preordering these figures, I would recommend getting them from the Crunchyroll Store, or Amiami. Just make sure you order from a trustworthy anime store. Unfortunately, there are some online shops that simply don’t fulfill their preorders.

I hope you can continue to read this blog in the future! Thank you for your support!
