Ai, Kana, and MEMcho are coming to the Good Smile Company’s Oshi No Ko Plush Collection

Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so glad you found my blog! I love to talk about upcoming anime figures and merchandise and share photos of my own collection. Nendoroids are my favorite, but I cover a wide variety of anime related subjects. Plus, I have a YouTube channel too, so feel free to check it out sometime! And thank you so much for tuning in; have fun reading!

Oshi No Ko’s second season is currently airing, and it’s certainly something to get excited about! The season kicked off with Aqua, Kana, and Akane rehearsing their acts for the Tokyo Blade stage play. Although Aqua has taken the spotlight for now, I’m certain that B Komachi will also get plenty of time to shine! Anyway, the Good Smile company is expanding upon their Oshi No Ko plush series, by adding three new lovable characters. That’s right Ai, Kana, and MEMcho’s new plushies are currently on preorder! In this post, I’ll be sharing important information about them, and I’ll give these cute plushies a proper review.

Oshi No Ko is a manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It’s been airing as a TV anime series since spring 2023. The anime can only be watched on HIDIVE however. The story starts with a doctor and his patient who are reincarnated as an idol’s twins. Their mother Ai, hides the fact that she has kids as she continues her work as a star. But in an unexpected series of events, she ends up being murdered. Desperate to live up to their mother’s dreams, Aqua and Ruby take on the industry and attempt avenge their mother. Oshi No Ko seems cute at first, but it focuses on the corruption of the popular industry and expresses rather dark themes.

Ai Hoshino is a famous idol, and secretly Ruby and Aqua’s mother. She has trouble loving anyone, and she thinks of herself as a lying idol. Because, she told her fans she loved them even though she didn’t. But after having twins, she finally discovers that even she can learn to love someone. Ai is the icon of Oshi No Ko, and even stars in her own side story.

AI’s new plush is so colorful! I love her dress; and I also really like how her bunny hairpin turned out. You can definitely feel the idol energy coming from her.

Kana Arima is one of the most popular characters in Oshi No Ko. Ruby sillily calls her “Loli Senpai” for no apparent reason. She ends up joining Ruby’s idol group; but she struggled a lot with her dreams. She’s inspired by a real actress, Mana Ashida. Similar to the child actress Mana Ashida, Kana ends up being used a lot by people.

Wow, I’m a big fan of the expression they chose for her plush. Kana looks curious, doesn’t she? Her tiny hat is such a charming detail.

Memcho is a popular Youtuber, and now part of the idol group, B Komachi after Aqua invited her to join. She has an excitable personality, and worked with her friend Akane in a dating show too.

Let’s face it, MEMcho is the cutest of all the idols, right? I like seeing her in her B Komachi outfit as well. Is it just me, or is the horn on her head just a little too small? either way, I kind of like it that way since she’s a chibi plush.

You can now collect the three stars of B Komachi! They look brilliant together; I’d love to have these!

Ruby’s plush has already been up for preorder, but Kana, Memcho, and Ai are currently available for their preorders. These idols are set to release in the third quarter of 2025. Each plush is about 6.69 inches tall, and they are made with polyester and cotton materials. You can purchase them from the Good Smile US store.
