Unboxing Nendoroid Yuta Okkotsu

Hello everyone! This is Arashi Bori. If you are reading this, thank you! Our Nendoroid family is a young blog, so I hope you will continue to read it in the future! I would like everyone reading this to know that; although this post was written on Sep 12, all these photos were taken on Aug 16 2022. Which was the day I received Nendoroid Okkotsu Yuta. As always, I am super excited to open a new nendoroid. Especially those from Jujutsu Kaisen, A beloved series that I have been reading for a long time.

Today, I will be opening Nendoroid Yuta Okkotsu!

I have several Nendoroids from Jujutsu Kaisen. For example, Yuji, Megumi, and Satoru. But this is a special edition figure celebrating the theatrical release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The movie is based off the original manga. Luckly I was able to see it in theaters early. In fact, the night before the supposed release date! If you haven’t seen it, please do so while you still can!

As someone who read the prequel series first, Yuta is an iconic yet exciting character to me. So, with that, let’s do the unboxing!

The box looks cool.

Rika is included as a stand in the set. Since she hasn’t got her own nendo yet, this is a great way to include her!

His sword pieces and microphone are included as well.

For those who are interested, this nendoroid I believe is still available now on the GSC store. Of course, mine was pre-ordered long before release.

Now let’s open him up! The pieces are well wrapped and look amazing! I can’t wait to see him outside the packaging!

That’s Nendoroid Okkotsu outside the box! The detail is amazing! I just now took him out. So, this is his pre-set pose. The other swapable parts are stored in the box. The beauty in nendoroids is that, their parts are all interchangeable! Time to set up some scenes.

I really like the design for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 themed base. All the nendos in this collection come with similar ones. The main line of Jujutsu Kaisen nendoroids also have special bases, but theirs are clear instead of black. Plus, Rika looks so awesome behind Okkotsu. The acrylic backdrop looks wicked!

Thanks to the black colored base, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 nendos look great holding them! I’ve seen others do this for their photos, so I decided to try it out.

Finally, Yuta in his fighting pose! This one also looks great with Rika behind him. Taking photos, a bit sideways is great for when your subject is in a fighting stance! I hope that advice will be handy.

Shouting amongst the anime figures?!

A little later, I enjoy a fun trip with my Nendoroid Yuta Okkotsu! Often, I call him by the nickname; Otsukotsu. It comes from the way his name is spelled in japanese, as the kanji can also be read as Otsukotsu. I think it’s a funny nickname.

If you wish to see more photos of Yuta Okkotsu, then just keep reading our blog! Sorry, I forgot to show off the cursed speech piece. This nendoroid is awesome, and totally worth it! I hope you found this fitting for the first post on my blog! I plan to do more unboxings later on, so stay tuned!

Thank you so much! I can’t wait to open Suguru Geto in a few weeks!
