Urusei Yatsura Nendoroid 🛸

Hello! Arashi Bori here! Recently, I have been watching an anime called “Urusei Yatsura” or “Those Obnoxious Aliens”. Here is a quick introduction! I was super happy to discover that there was a nendo for this show!

Urusei Yatsura 2022 is a reboot of the original series of movies. Which were based on a manga by Takahashi Rumiko, the creator of Inuyasha and many other series. This time, her story revolves around a young man named Ataru, who has to deal with an annoying alien girl chasing him around. I found this love story/comedy very funny. And, the new animation looks really great. Although I’ve never seen the old movies myself.

This series is gaining popularity fast, especially in japan. I think the only place those living in America can watch it is HIDIVE. The original movies can be found on Crunchyroll though.

I really enjoy this show, so I hope that the Goodsmile company still has the rights and can make more merchandise!

But you may be wondering, are there Urusei Yatsura nendos?

The answer is yes. But sadly, we don’t get a big arrange of characters. And this nendoroid was created as a product for the original movies, so her appearance takes from that time. Meaning she was fashioned after the older designs. Introducing nendoroid Lum!

Ta-da! She looks quite a lot like the new Lum, but her hair has fewer colors in it. Her horns also have less detail. The eyes also look a little old style to me.

Oh that’s right! Since this is Lum, she can fly! That makes for great scenes doesn’t it?

Looks as though she’s offering a suggestion.

“Zap, zap, zap!” 😂😂 This is like when she zaps Ataru…

Aww, that’s so cute! I like her dress better. Did Lum just cook that?

As you might can tell, the aliens in this show are fashioned after traditional Japanese Oni. (Japanese Demon.)

So what do you think of nendoroid Lum the invader? Of course, I prefer the newer designs for her. But will we ever get another nendo of her? and there are so many more characters that I’d like to see in nendoroid form. I hope that if the Good Smile company still has the license to make merchandise to Urusei Yatsura, they do. Even just newer versions of Ataru with Lum would be cute. These kinds of comedy shows make great nendos don’t they? Play Future manufactured this nendoroid. She released in September 2017. Nendoroid 756 might be hard to find nowadays. Before the anime was announced I’m sure she was cheaper, but now that the series has been rebooted, there is a much higher demand for her. And thus, her price goes up. If you already had this nendo, your lucky because it should be worth more! in fact, her price is ridiculously high.
