Nendoroid Satoru Gojo: Suit Ver. Review

Hello everyone! Arashi Bori here! I’m so glad you found my blog! I love to talk about upcoming anime figures and merchandise and share photos of my own collection. Nendoroids are my favorite, but I cover a wide variety of anime related subjects. Plus, I have a YouTube channel too, so feel free to check it out sometime! And thank you so much for tuning in; have fun reading!

Many people who love the popular series, Jujutsu Kaisen and its characters don’t know about some subtle designs, only featured in the manga’s colored pages. Akutami Gege Sensei and his assistants have put in the effort to create all sorts of amazing artwork in color. Some of which are serious, featuring prominent characters before their big fight scenes. But, others can be silly, and they may even show us some of our favorite characters in new outfits!

One of which being the cover picture for Chapter 77: Premature Death, Part 2. The illustration features Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto on stage, wearing matching suits. The two of them seem to be having fun; it almost seems as if they are doing some sort of stage comedy or the like. Though the actual chapter had nothing to do with this image, Satoru and Suguru’s suit design seem to be a popular topic for merchandise. And of course, the Good Smile company is in on this action! They have transformed Satoru and Suguru’s suit versions into adorable nendoroid figures! For both Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo, this will be their third nendoroid figure. Fans of these characters will surely be delighted to hear that the suit versions also come with a new faceplate, and a base that looks like their stage.

In this post, I will be covering Nendoroid Satoru Gojo: Suit Ver. If you are interested in seeing photos from my own collection, feel free to check out @arashi_bori on Instagram! Anyway, let’s review this awesome new figure!

Jujutsu Kaisen “Sorcery Fight” is a massive hit manga and anime series by Gege Akutami. It has 2 seasons and a special movie for it’s prequel series, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The story follows a boy named Itadori Yuji, who eats a mysterious finger belonging to the ancient curse Ryomen Sukuna. After eating it, it turns out he is the perfect vessel; and he must collect and eat all the other fingers before his execution. Jujutsu Kaisen focuses on a vast cast of students at the Jujutsu Technical high school. The story has some great characters, but in a dark world filled with curses and no mercy, it’s never good to get too attached.

Satoru Gojo “五条悟” is one of the most popular characters in the series. He’s known as “the strongest”. However, in the hidden inventory ark, he’s a troublemaking teenager. Satoru is popular for his cocky and silly personality.

Satoru Gojo looks cool in his suit! His new faceplate is his winking, grinning faceplate! He even includes a sign that reads, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’. It goes easily on the base, and it comes in handy as a prop. You may have noticed already, but his base is decorated with a wooden pattern that resembles the stage from the color page. He’s posed just like in the picture, pointing to the audience.

Satoru’s glasses are removable as well. His glasses and hair parts are the same as his high school version. Satoru Gojo’s new figure comes with hand parts for putting his left and right hands in his pockets. I should mention that although his nendoroid figure has brown shoes, the shoes are black on the color page. It’s a very minor detail, but I still prefer for it to be closer to the original artwork.

I like this pose! He appears to be welcoming the audience! >~< I can picture many great scenes with this one.

With Satoru Gojo and Satoru Gojo, you can fully recreate the scene from the color page!

Nendoroid Satoru Gojo: Suit Ver. is currently up for preorders, and he will release in the first quarter of 2025. You can preorder him from the Good Smile Online shop, the Good Smile US store, the Crunchyroll store, or Amiami.

In conclusion to this review, I think that Satoru’s suit version turned out very nice! I’m definitely a fan of the suit appearances, and it’d be fun to create scenes with them. I’m glad that they gave Satoru a few extra arm parts for various poses. It would also be cool to use his pieces with the previously released Satoru Gojo nendoroids. Overall, I love his figure, but I still wish his shoes were black instead.
